Samsung Galaxy A90 to feature New Infinity display, pop-up selfie-camera

In a bid to attract its younger audience in the developing markets and reclaim its diminishing popularity, Samsung is revamping its mid-range smartphones.
And as part of that strategy, the Korean tech giant could soon launch Galaxy A90 with an all-screen New Infinity design, a pop-up selfie camera, and mid-level internals.

Notably, reputed tipster @IceUniverse recently claimed that Galaxy A90 will be "Samsung's first pop-up front camera phone".
Hence, the phone should offer an all-screen design with no notches and holes that are required to house the selfie snapper.
Interestingly, this could be the New Infinity display design that Samsung had unveiled back in November at its fifth annual developer conference.
Concerns
Pop-up cameras and associated problems
While pop-cameras do allow for an unabridged edge-to-edge display, they also lead to other compromises.
Firstly, with delicate movable parts, the camera hub is more prone to damages in case of odd falls.
Secondly, the motors could get jammed up due to dust and gunk. Moreover, pop-up cameras may also compromise waterproofing.
However, we still have to see how Samsung implements this technology.
New tech
Galaxy A90 will also house an in-screen fingerprint sensor
Separately, South Korea-based ETNews claimed that Samsung is working to offer optical in-display fingerprint sensors on several of its high-end Galaxy A-series smartphones lined up for 2019 release.
The publication reported that Galaxy A50, Galaxy A70, Galaxy A90 will feature a new type of optical sensor that has been developed by Samsung Electronics for the upcoming Galaxy A series smartphones.

What else to expect from Galaxy A90?
According to renders and reports, the Galaxy A90 is likely to sport a 6.41-inch display and feature a triple rear camera with a ToF 3D sensor.
Under the hood, the phone is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, and run Android Pie-based One UI.
