    OPPO and OnePlus have announced a partnership with Google to integrate the tech company's Gemini artificial intelligence (AI) model into their devices.

    The announcement was made at the Google Cloud Next 2024 event by Nicole Zhang, who leads AI Product for both the Chinese smartphone giants.

    The firms have confirmed that features derived from the Gemini Ultra model will start appearing on their smartphones later this year.

    Google's AI tools to feature in future releases

    OPPO and OnePlus have confirmed their collaboration with Google to incorporate AI tools and additional Cloud AI products into their upcoming releases.

    These features include a tool for condensing news articles, audio summarization, and an AI-driven social media content creator.

    The integration of these advanced tools aims at enhancing user experiences by providing more efficient and innovative smartphone functionalities.

    OnePlus introduces 'AI Eraser' tool

    OnePlus recently launched its "AI Eraser," an image-editing tool that enables users to remove unwanted elements from photos.

    This feature, powered by OnePlus's own large language model, has already been introduced in India on specific devices.

    These include the OnePlus 12, OnePlus 12R, OnePlus 11, OnePlus Open, and OnePlus Nord CE 4.

    The company clarified that this tool is a result of their independent AI development efforts.
