    What's the story

    HMD Global has, finally, announced the pricing of Nokia 5.1 Plus, which was unveiled in India, last month.

    The phone's price has been set at Rs. 10,999 for the solo 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant and will be exclusive to Flipkart and Nokia e-store.

    The pre-orders for Nokia 5.1 Plus are now open and it will go on sale on October 1.

    Design & Display

    Nokia 5.1 Plus: One of the best looking budget smartphones

    Up front, there's an iPhone X-like notched display with slim bezels but a slightly chunkier chin.

    On the back, there's a glass panel, which houses a fingerprint sensor and a dual camera setup.

    Interestingly, there's 2.5D curved glass on both sides with a premium-looking high gloss finish.

    Further, the Nokia 5.1 Plus features a 5.86-inch HD+ (720x1520 pixels) display with a 19:9 aspect ratio.

    Camera

    For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers

    Nokia 5.1 Plus sports a dual rear-camera setup comprising a 13MP primary sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP depth sensor, along with an LED flash module.

    Up front, the phone gets an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and 80.4-degree wide angle view.

    Further, there are AI-powered photography features such as bokeh blur and portrait lighting.

    Internals

    Under the hood

    The Nokia 5.1 Plus is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 processor, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 400GB via microSD card.

    The phone runs stock Android Oreo 8.1 as part of Google's Android One program and packs a 3,060mAh battery with 5V/2A fast charging.

    Connectivity options and sensors onboard

    In terms of connectivity options, the phone includes support for dual-SIMs (Nano), 4G VoLTE (Cat. 4), Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/A-GPS, USB Type-C (v2.0), and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

    The Nokia 5.1 Plus has an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope and proximity sensor.

    It also has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

    Flipkart is offering 5% discount to HDFC, RBL Bank credit card holders on EMI transactions.

    Further, there is a 5% discount for Axis Bank Buzz credit card holders.

    Airtel is also offering its prepaid customers a cashback of Rs. 1,800 and 240GB additional data on Rs. 199, Rs. 249, and Rs. 448 recharge packs.

    Notably, the phone comes in Black, Blue and White colors.
