    What's the story

Elon Musk's brain-computer interface company, Neuralink, recently implanted its innovative brain chip in second participant as part of the ongoing trials.

The patient, known as Alex, is now using this innovative technology to design three-dimensional objects and play the popular video game Counter-Strike 2, according to Neuralink's blog post.

Unlike the first patient, Noland Arbaugh, Alex did not encounter any 'thread retraction issues,' demonstrating the effectiveness of the company's implant in this instance.

    Gaming transformation

Alex's gaming experience enhanced by implant

Prior to the implant, Alex, who cannot used his limbs from the neck down, used a Quadstick—a mouth-operated joystick for playing the video game.

This device had its limitations as it only featured one joystick, restricting Alex to either moving or aiming at any given time in games.

With the Neuralink's implant, his gaming experience has significantly improved, as per some media reports.

    User feedback

Alex shares his experience with Neuralink implant

Alex expressed his excitement about the enhanced gaming experience provided by the Neuralink implant.

He stated, "Just running around is so enjoyable because I can look side to side, and not need to move Quadstick left and right... I can [think about where to] look and it goes where I want it to. It's insane."

    Technological advancements

Neuralink's future plans for brain-computer interface

Neuralink is currently developing new features for its brain-computer interface, Link.

At present, Link allows users to control computer cursors but the company aims to let users control multiple devices simultaneously and write faster using their thoughts in the future.

These advancements could potentially revolutionize how humans interact with technology.
