    LG launches budget-range W-series to take on Samsung and Xiaomi

    What's the story

    In a bid to capture the budget-range market in India, LG has launched three smartphones under its W series.

    The line-up includes three models: the top-end W30 Pro, mid-end W30, and the base-end W10.

    Notably, the W30 Pro and W30 house a triple rear camera setup while the W10 offers dual rear cameras.

    LG W30 Pro: The mid-ranger with solid performance

    The LG W30 Pro sports a 6.21-inch HD+ 'FullVision' display with a customizable V-shaped notch, 19:9 aspect ratio, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

    The phone comes with mid-level internals including Snapdragon 632 chipset, 4GB RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, and 4,000mAh battery.

    Moreover, it runs Android Pie OS and offers 'StereoPulse' feature, through which the back of the phone amplifies sound when kept flat.

    LG W30 Pro offers a triple rear camera for shutterbugs

    As far as optics are concerned, the LG W30 Pro houses a triple rear camera setup comprising a 13MP main camera, 5MP secondary lens, and an 8MP third sensor.

    The main camera offers a bunch of features such as wide angle shot, low light, bokeh effect, and portrait mode.

    Up front, it houses a 16MP selfie snapper with face unlock support.

    LG W30: Decent smartphone at a pocket-friendly price

    The LG W30 sports a 6.26-inch HD+ 'FullVision' display with a customizable dew-drop notch, a 19:9 aspect ratio, and a physical fingerprint scanner.

    The phone is fueled by a MediaTek Helio P22 processor, paired with 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of expandable storage.

    Under the hood, it packs a 4,000mAh battery and runs Android Pie OS.

    What's the camera like on LG W30?

    The LG W30 also comes with a triple rear camera setup comprising a 12MP Sony IMX486 main camera, a 13MP wide-angle sensor, and another 2MP to capture depth details. Up front, it houses a 16MP selfie shooter - similar to the Pro model.

    Here's what LG W10 offers

    The third smartphone in the series, the LG W10 sports a 6.19-inch HD+ 'FullVision' display with an iPhone like notch, 18.9:9 aspect ratio, and a fingerprint scanner.

    The phone packs a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset, together with 3GB RAM and 32GB of expandable storage.

    Like other smartphones in the series, it also runs on Android Pie OS and packs a 4,000mAh battery.

    LG W10 offers a decent camera performance as well

    For the shutterbugs, W10 comes with a dual rear camera comprising a 13MP primary lens and a 5MP sensor to capture depth information. The main camera offers features such as PDAF, 2x zoom and LED flash. Up front, it houses an 8MP selfie snapper.

    Pricing and availability

    In India, the LG W10 and W30 are priced at Rs. 8,999 and Rs. 9,999 for their solo 3GB/32GB storage models, respectively.

    Both the devices will be up for grabs via a flash sale on Amazon which is scheduled for July 3.

    Meanwhile, the company hasn't revealed the pricing and availability details of W30 Pro at the moment.
