Xiaomi Mi 6X and Mi 7 leaks reveal design, specifications

    What's the story

Popular Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is expected to launch two new handsets 'soon'.

While Xiaomi might have wanted to keep the news under wraps till the phones' launch at the Mobile World Congress 2018 in late February, two separate leaks have revealed an all new Xiaomi Mi 6X and the new flagship Xiaomi Mi 7.

    Here's all about them.

    Do you know?

What is the Mobile World Congress?

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) is the world's largest exhibition for the mobile phone industry. The MWC sees prominent executives from device manufacturers, network operators, technology providers, content owners etc. meet for conferences in their respective fields.

    Mi 6X

The Mi 6X will have an iPhone X-esque rear camera

Mi 6X is the Mi 5X's (Mi A1 in India) successor and is expected to be launched around mid-2018.

The leak included an image which revealed that the Mi 6X's rear camera design resembles the iPhone X's, with the flash in between two vertically placed cameras.

There's no fingerprint sensor cut-out at the back, so the phone's likely to have one at the front.

    Mi 7

Leak says Mi 7 will have a bezel-less display

Two rendered images have been leaked showing the back and front side of the phone.

If the renders are true, then the Mi 7 will have a traditional fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone and will also sport a 6-inch bezel-less infinity display.

The report also suggests that the Mi 7 might support wireless charging.

There's no official word on specs yet.
