    What's the story

Ever get annoyed by those autoplay features on streaming platforms? You finish a show, and suddenly you're bombarded with trailers you didn't ask for.

Good news for Amazon Prime Video users on Android devices! You can now disable autoplay for trailers.

Follow this guide to learn how to turn off this feature using the web interface. The changes you make will apply to all your devices.

    Web steps

    Disable autoplay using web interface

Unfortunately, you can't disable autoplay of trailers on Amazon Prime Video directly from your Android device. You have to use a web browser for it.

First, navigate to Primevideo.com and sign into your account.

Choose your profile and navigate to "Accounts and Settings."

Locate "Player" or "Playback" settings and search for an option labeled "Turn off autoplay trailers."

Toggle this setting off to prevent trailers from automatically playing.

    Sync settings

    Apply changes across devices

After making changes in the web interface, you need to enforce them on your Android device by closing and reopening the Amazon Prime Video app.

This action triggers the app to synchronize with the updated settings you made on the web, which now include disabling trailer autoplay.

Now, enjoy browsing Amazon Prime Video on your Android device without the annoyance of autoplaying trailers.

Alternative method for Fire TV devices

For those with Amazon Prime Video on Fire TV or similar devices, there's a different way to stop trailer autoplay.

Simply open the app on your device, navigate to the settings menu, and look for a setting labeled "Autoplay" or "Video Autoplay."

Turning this off will immediately disable trailer autoplay, saving you the hassle of changing settings through the web interface.
