    What's the story

Google is expected to launch the Pixel 7-series of handsets in October. In the latest development, renders of the Pixel 7 Pro have surfaced online courtesy of Smartprix and @OnLeaks.

The renders reveal a punch-hole design with a curved display. They also show a Pixel 6 Pro-like rear camera unit.

Previously, a report had revealed that the handset will have a second-generation Tensor chip.

    Context

    Why does this story matter?

The leaked renders of the Pixel 7 Pro reveal that Google has retained the design language of the 6 Pro. The one major difference we can point out is that the camera unit seems to be merged with the frame.

We can expect more details about the phone to come out soon since the ball has already been set in motion.

    Display

The handset will have a punch-hole design with curved edges

The Google Pixel 7 Pro will feature a punch-hole cut-out on the top-center, metal frame, curved edges, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it will sport a full-width camera unit merged with the frame.

The handset may bear a 6.7-inch or 6.8-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Dimensions-wise, it will be 8.7mm in thickness.

    Information

It will have a triple rear camera module

The Google Pixel 7 Pro will be equipped with a triple rear camera setup, comprising a main shooter, an ultra-wide sensor, and a periscope lens. Up front, it will sport a single selfie snapper. Details about the specifications of the cameras are unclear right now.

    Internals

A second-generation Tensor chip will power the device

The Google Pixel 7 Pro is said to be powered by a custom-made Tensor GS201 chipset, paired with an Exynos 5300 modem, up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of onboard storage.

Under the hood, it will boot Android 13. In terms of connectivity, it will offer support for Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, 5G, and a Type-C port.

    Information

Google Pixel 7 Pro: Pricing and availability

The official pricing and availability details of the Google Pixel 7 Pro will be announced at the time of its launch, which is likely to happen around October this year. However, it is expected to start at $900 (roughly Rs. 67,500).
