What's the story
After launching dating services and taking on the likes of Tinder and Hinge, Facebook has announced Tuned, a dedicated app for couples.
The service comes from the social network's New Product Experimentation workshop and has been designed as a "private space" to let couples interact and share intimate, romantic moments with each other.

Tuned: What it's built to do?
As the NPE team explains, Tuned creates a private social network between you and your significant other, so that both of you can just be yourself and share your love for each other.
"With Tuned, you can be as mushy, quirky, and silly as you are together in person, even when you're apart," the team noted in the description of the app.

Share music, mood, photos, stickers, and more
The app offers a private, scrapbook-like feed where you and your partner can creatively express your love, share special moments.
For instance, you can share love notes, photo snapshots, cards, voice memos with your beloved to show how much you care, or exchange music from Spotify.
There is also the option to share custom stickers and reactions and set the mood for the day.
Caveats
No Facebook login required
The app is free to use and can work without requiring the users to connect their Facebook accounts.
However, the option to go without a Facebook connection doesn't mean that your data would be spared.
The app would be subjected to the social network's data rules, meaning your information would go to the company and might be used for ad-targeting.
Possibility
The idea just might sell
Though the basic capabilities of Tuned - sending voice notes, stickers et al - are similar to that of other messaging apps, the idea of keeping it specific to couples might just sell to the public.
The feedback of the public would eventually define the future of the experimental app, currently available for iPhones/iPads, and whether it will stick around or not.
