    What's the story

    BlackBerry licensee Optiemus Infracom has introduced the latest mid-range BlackBerry KEY2 LE smartphone in India.

    The key highlights of the phone are its 4.5-inch display with QWERTY keyboard, Snapdragon 636 processor, 4GB RAM, and dual rear-camera setup.

    The BlackBerry KEY2 LE is priced at Rs. 29,990 and will go on sale exclusively via Amazon starting October 12.

    BlackBerry KEY2 LE: At a glance

    Up front, the phone sports a traditional rectangular display with prominent bezels and a physical keyboard with an integrated fingerprint sensor.

    On the back, there's a soft-textured panel that houses a dual camera setup and LED flash module.

    The BlackBerry KEY2 LE features a 4.5-inch full-HD+ (1080x1620 pixels) LCD display with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 434ppi.

    The BlackBerry KEY2 LE sports a dual rear-camera setup comprising a 13-MP (f/2.2) sensor with PDAF, and a 5-MP (f/2.4) secondary sensor, paired with dual-tone LED flash. Up front, the phone gets an 8-MP fixed focus camera with LCD selfie flash.

    The phone is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage (expandable up to 256GB).

    It packs 3,000mAh battery which supports 18W Quick Charge 3.0 and runs an optimized version of Android Oreo 8.1.

    Further, BlackBerry suite of apps including BlackBerry Hub, BBM, DTEK, and Privacy Shade come pre-installed on the phone.

    Connectivity options and sensors onboard the phone

    Connectivity options on the BlackBerry KEY2 LE include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11a/c, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, NFC, GPS/A-GPS, GLONASS, FM radio, and USB Type-C with OTG support.

    Further, in terms of onboard sensors, the phone comes with an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, hall effect, proximity sensor, and magnetometer.

    Notably, the fingerprint sensor is housed under the spacebar key.
