    Here is how you can pre-book Galaxy S9 in India

    What's the story

    Pre-registrations for Samsung's latest Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones are now open on Airtel's online store for buyers in India.

    The flagship devices were recently launched at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in Barcelona.

    Notably, the pre-registration will be open on Airtel's website only until March 4. Here is more on it.

    Procedure

    Airtel will send you an invitation to pre-book the device

    To pre-register, people can either visit Airtel's official website or install the My Airtel app.

    There, they will have to enter personal details like contact number and name, post which Airtel will send them an invitation via e-mail to pre-book the Samsung Galaxy S9 smartphone.

    This will ensure that when the phone launches in India, the pre-registered customers are the first to order it.

    The option is only available to postpaid customers

    While postpaid subscribers will be able to pre-register without any hassle, prepaid subscribers will first to have to "get a new postpaid connection or shift their current Airtel prepaid connection to postpaid" to avail the pre-registration option, Airtel specified in its terms and conditions.

    How the Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be priced

    According to media reports, the Samsung Galaxy S9 in India will be priced at Rs.57,900 and Rs.65,900 for the 64GB model and the 256GB model, respectively.

    On the hand, the Samsung Galaxy S9+ smartphone will be priced at Rs.64,900 for the 64GB model and Rs.72,900 for 256GB variant in the country.

    Notably, the 128GB variant of the smartphones will not be available in India.

    Alternatively, the flagship devices can also be pre-booked through Samsung's official website in India. For that, interested buyers will have to pay an amount of Rs.2,000 as token. The phone will be launched in India on March 6.

    What the Samsung Galaxy S9 has to offer

    The Galaxy S9 features a 5.8-inch touchscreen display, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, a 3000mAh non-removable battery, a 12MP primary camera, and an 8MP front camera.

    It is powered by the 1.7GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 9810 processor and runs the Android 8.0 operating system.

    The device's connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC and its sensors include Compass, Magnetometer, Accelerometer, and Barometer.
