As a member of the Apollo family of Earth-crossing asteroids, it will come as close as 1.94 million km. Even though it's a close encounter, there's no cause for alarm.
Measuring 220-foot-wide, this space rock isn't classified as a Potentially Hazardous Asteroid (PHA).

The asteroid 2023 PM1 was discovered on August 12 and last observed on August 18. It will make its closest approach on August 21.
