    What's the story

Yashwant Singh, BJP MP from Nagina, Uttar Pradesh, wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying the government hasn't done anything for 30 crore Dalits of the nation.

After Ashok Dohre and Chhote Lal Kharwar, Singh is the third BJP MP from UP to express discontent with the party.

Meanwhile, PM Modi has asked BJP MPs to spend two nights in Dalit villages.

    MPs speaking up

Dissent grows in BJP. Is this the party's worst nightmare?

Ashok Dohre had alleged that Dalits were dragged from their homes and brutally thrashed by the police during the Bharat Bandh of April 2.

Chote Lal Kharwar had said he was thrown out of CM Yogi Adityanath's office.

Further, in Lucknow, Bhairaich BJP MP Savitri Bai Phule held a rally protesting against the Centre's attempt to dismiss SC/ST reservations.

Yogi Adityanath says he believes in 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas'

Talking about the dissenting Dalit MPs, Aditynath said, "My government did not discriminate people on the basis of their caste and religion. We worked with our motto 'sabka saath sabka vikaas'. If anyone has any grievance, they may let me know to take corrective steps."

Meanwhile, Modi wants MPs to spend nights in Dalit villages

At the 38th Foundation Day of BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked the MPs to spend two-nights in Dalit dominated villages to restore faith that the party is working for them.

From April 14 (BR Ambedkar's birth anniversary) to May 5, BJP MPs have been asked to spend time in villages having 50% SC population.

The PM said there are around 20,000 such villages.
