If not Prashant Kishor, who'll be leader of his party

    What's the story

Election strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor has announced that he will not be the leader of his new political outfit, Jan Suraaj.

The party is set to be launched on October 2.

"I don't wish to become the leader of the party. The leader will be based on the decision of the people who have worked for the past 2-2.5 years for Jan Suraaj," Kishor said during a press conference in Patna on Tuesday.

    Party goals

Kishor's vision for Bihar and new party

Kishor stated that his primary goal is not to launch a political party or win elections but to improve the lives of Bihar's people.

He envisions transforming Bihar into a state where people from other regions seek jobs.

Kishor outlined three key objectives for his initiative: educating villagers on raising their living standards, encouraging voters not to be swayed by misguided leaders, and developing strategies for 8,500 panchayats focused on education, agriculture, and employment to drive Bihar's progress.

    Leadership critique

    Kishor criticizes Nitish Kumar's leadership

Kishor also criticized Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, alleging that he has handed over the entire system to a few of his advisors.

"When Janata Dal (United) won't even remain, what is the question about his successor? I had been a part of JD(U) and worked with Nitish Kumar. The capital of JD(U) is Nitish Kumar. When capital would end, how would the company run on interest?" he said.

    Political forecast

Kishor comments on BJP's performance and future

Kishor also commented on the Bharatiya Janata Party's performance in Bihar, stating that it has been lackluster due to the absence of a strong leader or significant effort.

He further predicted that the longevity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government would depend on election results in nine states over the next 2-2.5 years.

"If results are against the BJP, then questions will definitely be raised about the stability of the government," he added.
