8,000 suggestions for PM Modi's Independence Day speech!
What's the story
Ahead of Independence Day, the Centre opened the lines for the public to send suggestions for PM Narendra Modi's August 15 speech.
Till now, over 8,000 recommendations have been received: 6,000 via the Narendra Modi app and 2,000 from the MyGov portal.
To reduce monotony even further and ensure citizens' interest, he has promised to keep the speech under an hour!

"For the last three years, I've been getting suggestions from every corner for August 15…It isn't one person who makes that address, but it is the collective voice of 1.25bn countrymen that resound from the Red Fort," he said on the last Mann Ki Baat address.

One unique suggestion is to establish a school or madrassa at the disputed Ayodhya site instead of a mosque or temple.
