    What's the story

Actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut is all set to open her new cafe, The Mountain Story, in Manali, Himachal Pradesh.

The "pure vegetarian" establishment, serving traditional Himachali dishes for tourists, will be launched on Valentine's Day.

In a surprising move, the Kerala unit of the Congress party congratulated Ranaut on social media.

    Online reactions

Social media users question Congress's congratulatory message

The Kerala unit of the INC tweeted, "We are happy to learn about your new 'pure vegetarian' restaurant. Hope you'll serve some amazing Himachali vegetarian dishes for all tourists. Wishing all success for this venture!"

The post immediately triggered reactions from social media users, with many questioning if the Kerala Congress account had been hacked.

One user humorously suggested the account was being managed by "a high school student on a lunch break," while another directly asked, "Is this account hacked?"

    Internal backlash

Congress supporters criticize party's message to Ranaut

The Kerala unit of the INC's unexpected congratulatory message also faced criticism from within its own ranks.

Some Congress supporters found the tweet unnecessary and damaging to the party's image.

One critic even warned it could backfire for the Congress, saying, "You guys keep tweeting such cheap posts and then wonder why you are losing elections? It takes a great deal of stupidity to completely ignore the ethos of this country."
