    What's the story

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday emphasized the importance of unity in light of the ongoing unrest in Bangladesh.

"Nothing is above the nation, and our strength comes from unity. 'Batenge to Katenge.' You can see the situation in Bangladesh—those mistakes should not be repeated here. 'Batenge to Katenge, Ek Rahenge to Nek Rahenge,'" Adityanath remarked during a public meeting in Agra.

    Opposition critique

Adityanath questions opposition's silence on Bangladesh violence

This comes a day after Adityanath questioned the opposition's silence on the attacks against Hindus in Bangladesh.

He noted their quick response to global issues but apparent indifference toward the persecution of Hindus and destruction of temples in Bangladesh.

"They see Palestine but turn a blind eye to Bangladesh because it fears losing their vote bank," he said during the 5,251st Krishna Janmotsav celebrations in Mathura.

Adityanath inaugurates development projects in Braj region

Adityanath has inaugurated 178 development projects worth ₹1,037 crore for the local population and tourists in the Braj region.

He criticized opposition parties for prioritizing their vote bank over the suffering of Hindus in Bangladesh.

The UP CM also highlighted the inseparable bond between Sanatan Dharma and India, urging saints and spiritual leaders to unite society against challenges that could destabilize both Sanatan Dharma and the nation.

    Crisis unfolds

Bangladesh in turmoil following PM's resignation

Bangladesh is currently experiencing political unrest following the resignation and departure of its Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The Hindu community, which makes up 8% of the country's population, has been subjected to widespread attacks.

Hindu temples have been desecrated and properties owned by community members have been targeted by mobs.

The Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council reported that there have been 200 attacks on Hindus since Hasina left.
