At some point, we have all been guilty of making subtle mistakes that completely ruin our appearance. However, applying blush is not as complicated as it seems.
A few mindful decisions and gentle strokes in the right direction can help achieve the desired effect.
Mistake 1
You may be using the wrong shade
Cool skin tones can be overpowered by warm colors, while warm tones may be reduced by cool colors. You can appear older if you wear something too bright or dark.
Determine your undertone by taking the time to test the color on yourself. Select a color that closely resembles your natural blush.
The warmer your skin tone, the darker the colors you can use.
Mistake 2
You do not start with a base
Have you noticed that your blush has virtually vanished in a few hours after the application? It could be absorbed by your skin or rubbed off.
To prevent it, start with a foundation or a tinted moisturizer.
This will not only make your skin tone more balanced, but it will also assist set and prolong the look of your blush.
Mistake 3
You do not consider face shape
Each person should apply blush differently because every person's face is unique. You shouldn't apply blush in the same way as your friend.
An upward blush angle is necessary for round features, extending from the top cheeks to the temple.
If, on the other hand, your jawline is more defined, disperse the blush upward, starting from the lower part of your face.

You tend to wear too much blush
One of the worst blunders you could be making is applying a little too much blush. Always inspect your blush under a bright light after applying it to determine your exact shade.
Always start with tiny amounts after selecting the appropriate brush or tool. Be light with your hand.
You can gradually add more of it in case more color is required.
Mistake 5
You may be using wrong formula
Blush comes in three varieties: powders, creams, and stains. Stains are useful if your skin is oily.
Additionally, creamy solutions work well on combination or regular skin types.
Also, contrary to common opinion, creams and stains aren't the best options for dry skin. When they dry, they break, causing your face to age. Stick with a powder instead.
