    To complement watching I-Day parade live on TV, you can prepare some delicious dishes to celebrate the amazing food culture of our country.

    Here are five easy and delicious tricolor recipes you should try, on this upcoming Independence Day.

    Tricolor Sandwiches: Your kids will love these for breakfast

    Prepare tricolor sandwiches for breakfast to kick start your I-Day celebrations. And guess what? Your kids will love it.

    You can use different ingredients to give it the three flag colors.

    For green, use mint and coriander chutney.

    For orange, use Chipotle sauce, or tomato ketchup, or tamarind chutney.

    And for white, there are many options to choose from- cheese slice/cheese spread/paneer/mayonnaise, etc.

    Tricolor Idlis: A great combination of taste and nutrition

    This I-Day special recipe is not just tasty but also quite healthy.

    And the best part is that you don't have to use any artificial colors to bring the tricolor effect.

    For saffron idlis, just grate a couple of carrots and add it in the idli batter before steaming.

    And for green ones, you can use spinach during preparation.
