    From showing off his dazzling moves in Oscar-winning Naatu Naatu to his strong onscreen presence in many films, Junior NTR is a name that is now not just known down south but around the world.

    As he turns 40 today, let's celebrate the lad's birthday by knowing the secrets behind his ripped physique in RRR that quickly became the talk of the town.

    Time frame

    Junior NTR took only six months to transform for 'RRR' 

    Saw his beefy and chiseled physique in the superhit film RRR? Well, the actor underwent a vigorous physical transformation over six months.

    For his role, he had to show off a lean and muscular body, for which he instantly cut down his calories and focused on a workout routine.

    He also followed a strict diet during his training.

    Training

    He trained in the jungles of Bulgaria

    If reports are to be believed, Junior NTR worked out in the Bulgarian wilderness and even trained barefoot for months.

    Wondering what all he did? Well, the actor included a lot of weight training exercises in his workout routine.

    Additionally, he indulged in running and strength training, which helped him build endurance, stamina, and core strength.

    The actor worked out for about three hours daily

    Per reports, the NTR 30 star performed his workout routine for at least three hours daily to meet the physical demands of his character.

    He also included cardio exercises in his daily routine to amp up his transformation process for the film.

    The combination of all the above-mentioned training programs helped him shed as much as 18 kg and gain those teasing six-pack abs.

    Diet

    The 'Temper' actor made drastic changes to his diet

    For NTR, fitness is both about exercise and food.

    So while the actor was sweating it all out, he also roped in some major changes to his daily diet like increasing his protein intake by eating a lot of lean protein.

    He also kept himself hydrated throughout the day and steered clear of processed and sugary foods.
