    What's the story

Renowned for his roles in Pearl Harbor, Good Will Hunting, and Argo, Ben Affleck's multifaceted Hollywood career extends from acting to screenwriting, directing, and producing.

His dedication to fitness adds an extra layer of charm to his on-screen characters.

As he celebrates his 51st birthday today, we unveil his timeless fitness secrets, igniting inspiration among fans and admirers worldwide.

    Fitness

Affleck keeps his cardio exercises to a minimum

Cardio is an important workout form but not for Affleck.

Per reports, he indulges in cardio but only for a maximum of 15 minutes daily.

This either is a quick workout on the elliptical or Airdyne bike sprints, reports EatThis.

The actor follows this routine to make sure he doesn't shed too much weight and focuses on building muscles.

    Exercises

The 'Argo' lead indulges a lot in weight training

Most of the characters Affleck has played so far required him to beef up. And even personally, the star is a fan of weight training.

According to sources, he performs exercises including planks, cable rows, pull-ups, lunges, dumbbell curls, farmers' walks, heavily loaded carries, etc.

He focuses on various muscle groups on different days of the week.

    Diet

The 'Pearl Harbor' man savors 6 meals a day

According to TotalShape, Affleck eats six meals a day that are mainly focused on proteins.

For breakfast, he usually prefers having an omelet/oatmeal/mixed fruits along with a protein shake or a cup of coffee.

His lunch scenes include mixed veggies/grilled chicken/sweet potato, while for dinner he savors grilled fish/grilled chicken/leafy green vegetables/steamed vegetables.

Snacks usually include protein shakes and nuts.

    Transformation

Here's how Affleck transformed for his role as Batman

For Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Affleck reportedly put on 10 kg in only four months.

He trained six days a week for 15 months before shooting and avoided dairy products too.

He increased his carbohydrate intake and focused on consuming more protein by eating chicken/turkey breast, salmon, and egg whites.

He also ate brown rice, oats, and vegetables throughout the day.
