    Bubble masks are cleansing masks, which on application, bubbles up due to an oxygenation process.

    The bubbles thus formed help in removing impurities, leaving the face with a glow.

    These masks may not necessarily be sheet masks, and are also available in the form of clay masks or creams.

    Contrary to ordinary face masks, bubble masks use foaming agents and oxygen to form bubbles that exfoliate the skin, unclog pores and remove blackheads.

    The oxygen that is pumped into the mask bubbles up when pressed with the fingers, on application.

    Pressurized oxygen helps in cell regeneration and leaves the skin supple and glowing.

    It also stimulates collagen production on the skin.

    The most important use of a bubble mask is that it exfoliates the skin and thus unclogs the pores by removing bacteria, dirt and other pollutants.

    Bubble masks also help in removing acne, clearing blackheads.

    Further, it removes acne scars and blemishes as well.

    What's more? Your skin will be left hydrated, supple and soft, thus it works both as an exfoliator and moisturizer.

    Steps to make the most of your bubble mask

    To extract its maximum benefit, use a gentle cleanser on your face and rinse with lukewarm water.

    If using a cream mask, apply with a spatula and do not touch the product as you could be contaminating it.

    You will soon start noticing that the mask has commence bubbling. Do not leave it for more than 15 minutes.

    Remove the mask and rinse thoroughly.

    Bubble masks work wonders to increase blood circulation to the face and improve the overall appearance of your skin, but you should not be using it if you have dry skin.

    This is because while the mask has exfoliating properties, it can strip the skin off its oil.

    And this can particularly cause damage if you have a dry and sensitive skin.
