    What's the story

The chill in the air invites adventure seekers to take to the roads and see the beauty that the season uncovers as winter blankets India's varied landscapes.

India has many beautiful places to visit, including tranquil valleys and snow-capped mountains, which are best enjoyed in the winter.

Let's take a look at some roads that are best to take during winter.

    Road 1

    Chandigarh to Kasol

Embark on an epic road trip from Chandigarh to Kasol, traversing a total distance of about 250 kilometers.

You leave Chandigarh early morning and wind up in Kasol, a Himachal Pradesh town in the Parvati Valley that serves as a gathering place for hikers and backpackers, in mid-day.

You get to see Kullu, Mandi, and other picturesque locations along the way.

    Road 2

    Darjeeling to Pelling

Departing from the mist-laden hills of Darjeeling, the road winds through lush tea estates, offering panoramic views of the iconic Kangchenjunga - covering a total of 73 kilometers.

As you navigate the serpentine roads, you will get to see glimpses into the rich Sikkimese culture.

Do remember to enjoy a cup of refreshing tea while passing through the verdant tea gardens.

    Road 3

    Delhi to Leh, via Manali

For those with wanderlust and an adventurous spirit, this is one of their most popular itineraries.

When you travel from Delhi to Leh via Manali, you will be met with an explosion of the most breathtaking landscapes and monuments. The route spans over 1091 kilometres.

Get mesmerized with picturesque stops along the way at spots like Rohtang La, Keylong, Jispa, Baralacha La, and Darcha.

    Road 4

    Jammu to Srinagar

The journey from Jammu to Kashmir is one of the most well-known road excursions in northern India. This trip spans over 300 kilometers and links the summer and winter capitals, Jammu and Srinagar, respectively.

Leaving Jammu's warm plains, the road winds through lush meadows and breathtaking views.

There are many breathtaking valleys, captivating mountains, and bizarre encounters along the route.

    Road 5

    Bangalore to Coorg

Departing from the bustling city of Bengaluru, the road meanders through the picturesque landscapes of Karnataka, unveiling a transition from urban vibrancy to the serene charm of the Western Ghats.

Covering about 250 kilometers, as you drive towards Coorg, the air becomes crisp, and the scenery transforms into a lush green canvas adorned with coffee plantations, spice gardens, and mist-covered hills.
