    What's the story

Rajasthan Police have found the mobile phone of Chetan Saini, the 40-year-old who was found hanging at the Nahargarh Fort, which would be instrumental in solving his mysterious death.

There were selfies on Saini's phone, which are believed to be taken before his death.

The Forensic Science Laboratory would examine the phone and find out if Saini had uploaded any videos online.

Padmavati protests take shocking turn: Body found with anti-movie slogans

The protests against 'Padmavati' seem to have taken a ghastly turn. A body was found hanging in Rajasthan's Nahargarh Fort on 24th November, surrounded by slogans against the movie.

One of them, written on stones laid nearby, read, "'Padmavati ka virodh" (opposing Padmavati).

Another said, "Hum sirf putle nahi latkate" (we don't hang just effigies).

However, now there is a twist in the story.

    Investigation

Phone will be examined properly by FSL team: ACP

Saini left home at 3:30pm (23 November) and locals found his body hanging from Nahargarh fort walls on 24 November.

His phone, wallet and other things were found in his trouser pockets. The selfies were taken with the fort walls in the background in the sunlight.

ACP (Crime) Prafful Kumar said, "We immediately handed over the phone to the FSL team for analysis."

Will check if deceased was in inebriated condition: Police

A senior officer said: "He (Chetan Saini) reached the Nahargarh fort area at 4pm on Thursday evening and was found dead on Friday morning. The post-mortem and other medical examination will help to ascertain if he was under the influence of alcohol or not."

Death not connected to Padmavati: Saini's brother

Meanwhile, Saini's brother claimed that the death has nothing to do with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati, alleging that it was a murder as his brother cannot commit suicide.

His brother also demanded a high-level probe into the case. Anti-Padmavati notes were allegedly written on the rocks near his body.

However, Rajput Karni Sena's President claimed the messages were written to provoke them.
