    What's the story

In a heartbreaking incident, a Kanpur man died of a heart attack while taking his father's body for burial. The father-son duo was buried together.

Laiq Ahmed, a resident of Kanpur, died at a private nursing home on March 20 after his health deteriorated.

When the doctors there declared his father dead, his son Atiq refused to believe it.

Atiq rushed his father's body to a hospital specializing in cardiology services in the hope of a different outcome. But the doctors there too reaffirmed that Laiq had indeed passed away.

The family then took away Laiq's body in an ambulance to be buried, with Atiq following closely behind on his motorcycle.

While they were on their way to the burial ground, Atiq suffered a sudden heart attack and fell down.

He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital but couldn't be saved and was declared dead.

The funeral of the father-son duo was conducted together.

Atiq was the younger of Laiq's two sons and shared a close bond with his father. A family member described them as inseparable. He was married and had a daughter.
