    What's the story

An 18-year-old girl allegedly died by suicide after she failed the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), results of which were declared a day before her death.

The deceased, identified as Aditi Mishra, had been preparing for the exams for two years at Momentum Coaching Center in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.

She was found dead by her roommate at Satyadeep Girls Hostel on Wednesday morning.

    Tragic discovery

Aditi's final conversation and discovery of her death

On the day she died, Aditi spoke to her parents and asked her father to recharge her mobile. Her roommate was absent at the time.

When the roommate returned, she discovered Aditi hanging from a noose made out of a stole.

The hostel warden was immediately informed about the incident, who then alerted the police.

    Investigation underway

Aditi's suicide note and police investigation

The police recovered a suicide note from the scene in which Aditi apologized to her parents for her inability to pass the exams.

She wrote, "Sorry mummy papa, forgive me... I could not do it... this was the end of our relationship... you guys don't cry... you guys gave me a lot of love."

The note also mentioned her younger sister, urging her parents to take care of her.
