Delhi: SDMC to develop 100 parks on gram sabha lands
What's the story
A hundred parks would be developed on gram sabha lands in south Delhi, according to SDMC Commissioner PK Goel.
The announcement was made when Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal was inaugurating two such parks made on wastelands at Jaunapur yesterday.
Baijal said local children will benefit from these parks as they will enjoy swings and open gym facilities installed by South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC).

SDMC to also revive 15 water bodies
Baijal also asked Goel to develop more such parks and plant saplings in this monsoon season.
They were speaking at a function organized for the inauguration of a 3.33-acre park near the MCD school in Jaunapur.
"SDMC will also revive at least 15 water bodies in coming days and Jaunapur Talab near the inaugurated parks will be the first one," Commissioner Goel said.
