Pune schoolgirl reveals assault during 'good touch, bad touch' workshop

An 11-year-old girl studying in Class 5 at a school in Khadakwasla, Pune, disclosed during a "Good Touch, Bad Touch" workshop that she had been sexually assaulted.
The revelation came to light on Saturday during the workshop aimed at educating girls about safety.
The accused, a 67-year-old man from the same area, has since been arrested by local police.

The girl alleged that the 67-year-old man enticed her by offering sweets before sexually assaulting her.
The girl told her teacher about the incident during the workshop.
Upon learning of the incident, the teacher reported it to the school principal.
The girl's parents were then informed about the incident, reports said.
Legal action
School authorities lodge complaint, accused arrested
Following the revelation, the school principal convened a meeting with the girl's parents and members of the teachers' union.
A complaint was subsequently lodged at Haveli Police Station. Based on this complaint, police arrested the 67-year-old accused.
An officer confirmed that further investigation into the matter is currently underway.
