    What's the story

Recently, when a man from Pune was certain that he saw an alien object outside his house, he decided to take action.

He sent an email to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) about it, hoping for some help.

When the Pune police were instructed to take action, they got on a hunting spree to find the man, but learned something else.

    Here's what happened.

    Details

Pune police tracked email sender, found him mentally unstable

After the PMO received the 47-year-old's email, they forwarded it to the Maharashtra government.

Soon, the Pune police got instructions and they started to look into the matter, according to an official from the Singhad Road police station.

The police tracked down the sender a few days ago, and found out that the man from Kothrud was suffering from a mental ailment.

    Unstable

Man had brain hemorrhage few years ago, lost mental balance

According to the police official, the man had a brain hemorrhage some years ago, and since then had lost his mental balance.

The 47-year-old felt that the supposed 'alien object' was sending some critical information about Earth to its home planet.

He instantly emailed the PMO, seeking an investigation.

"Even his family members were not aware that he sent an email," the official said.

    Information

Previously, man thought light in trees coming from alien object

Also, this is not the first time the Pune man saw something related to the extraterrestrial. Some few months ago, he saw light in the trees outside his bungalow and thought it was coming from some alien object, said the official.

    Welcome?

NASA research-paper suggests aliens might have already visited the earth

On an interesting note, NASA released a paper this month that suggests that aliens might have already visited the earth.

According to Professor Silvano P Colombano, aliens might not be in the form we expect them to be.

Colombano suggests alien life may not be carbon-based, like ours, which would allow them to remain undetected by humans.

And, they may be here right now!
