    Mumbai Police receive call warning 'terrorists may attack Modi's aircraft'

    The Mumbai Police have arrested a man from Chembur area after he made a threat call regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's aircraft.

    The call, which was received on February 11, warned of a possible terrorist attack as PM Modi was preparing for an official overseas trip.

    The police immediately alerted concerned security agencies and launched an investigation into this serious matter.

    Threat caller identified, investigation underway

    The person behind the threat call has been arrested and was found to be mentally ill, Mumbai Police said.

    "On 11th February, a call was received at Mumbai Police control room warning that terrorists may attack PM Modi's aircraft as he was leaving on an official visit abroad," the police said.

    "Considering the serious nature of the information, the Police informed other agencies and began an investigation," they added.

    PM Modi's official tour amidst security concerns

    PM Modi is on an official tour to France and the United States. He co-chaired the AI Action Summit with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris on Tuesday.

    The week-long summit culminated in a High-Level Segment attended by global leaders, policymakers, and industry experts.

    PM Modi was warmly welcomed by the Indian diaspora at a hotel in Marseille during his visit. He arrived in the French city on Tuesday (local time).

    PM Modi's upcoming engagements in France and US

    PM Modi, along with President Macron, will visit the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) project, a major international collaboration in nuclear fusion research.

    He will also pay tribute to Indian soldiers at the Mazargues War Cemetery in France.

    After his engagements in France, he will head to the United States on the invitation of US President Donald Trump. This will be their first meeting since President Trump assumed his second term in office.
