    What's the story

Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra has recently released images of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, showcasing the current update on its construction.

Back in January, Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced that the temple shall be ready in a year and be inaugurated in January 2024.

With less than six months left, here's how the temple looks right now.

    Construction

Granite stones are being used to make the temple

As the authorities gear up to welcome visitors in January 2024, the construction of the Ram Mandir is currently in full swing, with the deadline fast approaching.

Per reports, granite stones are being used for the temple that spans a whopping 2.77 acres.

There shall be 160 pillars in the sanctum sanctorum and about 132 on the first floor, according to ABP.

    Features

The temple will have 12 gates made of teak wood

The temple will feature 12 gates, all made with teak wood.

The main entrance of the temple shall be called 'Singh Dwar' and would be quite sizeable in measurement.

Champat Rai, general secretary of the temple trust shared with Hindustan Times that the temple would be "designed in such a way that sun rays fall on Ram Lalla on every Ram Navami at noon."

    Structure

4.75 lakh cubic feet of sandstones are to be used

For the temple's superstructure, a massive 4.75 lakh cubic feet of Bansi Paharpur stones will be used.

"This superstructure of Ram temple is being constructed using carved sandstones from Rajasthan's Bansi Paharpur district," stated Rai during the same interaction.

According to him, approximately Rs. 1,800 crore will be spent on building the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

    Budget

Devotees will have three routes for easy 'darshan'

CM Yogi Adityanath has approved three routes for devotees for smooth darshan.

The first route will be named "Ram Path," sprawling 13 km and connecting Sahadatganj to Naya Ghat.

The second route will be called "Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Path," connecting Birla Dharmashala to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple via Sugreev Fort.

The third route will connect Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple to Singar Ghat via Hanumangarhi.
