    What's the story

In a shocking incident, four members of a family were found buried inside their house in Kerala's Thdopuzha in Idukki district on Wednesday.

The police were alerted by neighbors after the family wasn't seen for a couple of days.

The deceased were identified as K Krishnan, his wife Susheela, and children Arsha and Arjun. They had deep stab wounds.

    Here are the details.

    The break-in

Blood stains, freshly-dug mud: What police found from house

On breaking into the house, the police saw all bodies stacked on each other. There were blood stains all over the house, a knife and a hammer were also discovered.

The mud in the compound was freshly dug.

A senior officer said there was no forced entry into the house, but they suspect the involvement of at least two people in the crime.

    The life

An astrologer, Krishnan, was visited by people including movie stars

Locals told police the family led a secluded life, and rarely interacted with anyone, including their own relatives.

However, the family was frequented by visitors late at night, and they came in luxury cars. They said even movie artistes visited Krishnan, who was an astrologer.

But lately, Krishnan had started getting involved in occult and black magic practices, locals alleged.

    The investigation

Apparently, Krishnan was booked for practising black magic years ago

An SIT has been formed to investigate the case. Police said Krishnan was booked for practising black magic, three years ago, and all angles were being probed.

These deaths come weeks after 11 people of the same family lost their lives in Delhi's Burari. The Burari case shook the nation.

Days later, a family of seven was found dead in their Ranchi home.
