    What's the story

A 49-year-old man, presumed dead by his family, showed up near Wayanad district, Kerala, much to the shock and delight of his kin, a fortnight after they performed his 'funeral'.

They had mistakenly identified a decomposed body as that of his.

The man returned home two days ago and was shocked to learn that he was believed to be dead.

    Details

Man was not in touch with family for few months

Saji, who used to be away from home for days in search of odd jobs, wasn't in touch with his family for the last few months.

Recently, his family 'wrongly' identified an unclaimed body found in Karnataka to be that of his going by a similar scar, cops said today.

The body was then brought home and final rites were performed on October 16.
