    What's the story

It has been weeks since the #BottleCapChallenge took the internet by storm, but apparently, the trend is not entirely dead yet.

After celebrities, desi and videsi, tried their hand at the challenge, it appears a video is now doing the rounds allegedly showing an Indian Army battle tank knocking a bottle cap off a water bottle.

But is there any truth to this video?

    Details

Video shared by popular Instagram page

The video in question was shared on Instagram by a popular profile with the username @indian_defence_forces__.

The post claims that the challenge was done by the Indian Armed Forces and even marks Jamnagar as the location where it was filmed.

At the time of writing this report, the video has over 36,000 views and almost 11,000 likes.

    Real video

Now, here's the truth behind the video

However, as it turns out, the video was initially shared by @shtirlitz53, on Wednesday. The hashtags indicate that the video was filmed in Kiev, Ukraine.

Additionally, a Ukrainian news website, Obozrevatel, reported that the username belongs to a Ukrainian Armed Forces officer, Anatoly Stefan.

The Instagram profile also shared two other similar videos after the first one.

So, no Indian Army didn't do it.

    Bottlecap challenge

Here's how the Bottlecap Challenge first started

For the uninitiated, the 'Bottlecap Challenge' first started when Taekwondo fighter and instructor Farabi Davletchin shared a video of himself doing the challenge. He had then named it both '#FarakicksChallenge' and 'BottleCapChallenge', and nominated actors Jason Statham and Jackie Chan.

From there, it picked up with people nominating others and spread across the world.

However, the undefeated champion of the challenge remains Mariah Carey.
