    IRCTC is offering 50% discount on Maharajas Express tickets

    What's the story

    The Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is offering 50% discount on second ticket booking of its world-class, luxury train Maharajas Express.

    Under the offer, the first adult booked for twin-sharing cabin will be charged at full-cost, while the second passenger will be given a flat 50 percent discount.

    Journey dates for which the offer is valid

    For the current year, the offer is valid for Gems of India tour (28th November 2018), Indian Splendor tour (8th December 2018), Heritage of India tour (15th December 2018), and Gems of India tour (26th December 2018).

    Details

    Rules about booking transfer, offer-availability, and cancellation charges

    The Maharajas Express discount offer is non-transferable.

    Also, it cannot be clubbed with any other discount/promotional offers.

    The offer is on first-come-first-served basis, and depends on the availability of cabins/suites for a particular trip.

    The offer is valid till the date of departure.

    The discounted, second-passenger, if cancels booking, will be charged the whole of 50% payment as cancellation charges, irrespective of departure/cancellation dates.

    About IRCTC's Maharajas Express

    Started in March 2010, the Maharajas Express is considered as one of the costliest luxury trains in the world.

    The train has 23 huge carriages, running on five circuits, covering over 12 famous destinations across India.

    The train features 5 carriages for Deluxe cabins, 6 for Junior Suites, 2 for Suites and 1 for Grand Presidential Suite.

    All cabins of the Maharajas Express feature air-conditioning facility, LCD televisions, DVD players, Direct Dial and Internet services, in-house movies and live TV for passengers' entertainment.
