Jaipur: E-rickshaw driver beats scooter rider to death after crash
A 36-year-old man died after he was beaten by an e-rickshaw driver and two others following an argument in Jaipur, police said on Saturday. The altercation occurred late on Friday night after Dinesh Swami's scooter collided with the e-rickshaw in the Shastri Nagar area. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-II) Bajrang Singh confirmed that both drivers left for their respective homes following the incident.
Victim's condition worsened post-altercation, leading to death
Upon reaching home, Swami's health deteriorated rapidly, ultimately leading to his demise. Singh revealed that there were three individuals involved in the assault. One of them has been identified as Shahrukh and is currently under arrest while efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining two suspects. The police are actively investigating this case of fatal road rage. Following Swami's death, a crowd of local residents gathered outside the Shastri Nagar police station demanding the arrest of those responsible.
