PM Modi made the comments in a video message for the second edition of 'Samvad- Global Initiative on Conflict Avoidance and Environment Consciousness' in Yangon.

'Nurture nature to avoid climate change'
Modi quoted as examples Lord Rama, Krishna Buddha and Bhakta Prahlada, saying the purpose of upholding 'dharma' had sustained Indians from ancient to modern times.
About the environment, Modi said man must nurture nature, otherwise he will have to face dangerous climate change.
Environmental laws, though essential, are only an "inferior protection" to nature, he said, and called for "harmonious environmental consciousness".
