    What's the story

A video from May 13, purportedly revealing a heated argument between Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Swati Maliwal and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's staff, has surfaced.

The footage shows Maliwal telling the staff that she had called the police and wouldn't leave until they arrived.

"I'll make sure you lose your job if you touch me," she is heard saying.

Maliwal has accused Kejriwal's personal assistant, Bibhav Kumar, of assaulting her at the CM's residence on May 13.

    Legal proceedings

Delhi Police to scrutinise CCTV footage at Kejriwal's house

According to reports, the Delhi Police has written to the company that installed CCTVs at Kejriwal's residence to take footage of the incident from May 13.

The police will reportedly scrutinize all CCTV footage relating to the event. There are eight CCTV cameras mounted outside Kejriwal's residence.

Around 10 police teams are investigating the matter, with four of them attempting to locate Kumar, who is believed to be in Punjab.

    Statement

Video out of context, says Maliwal

It is not known who made this 52-second video doing the rounds on social media now.

Maliwal reacted to the video and said it was out of context and the truth will be revealed when the CCTV footage is checked.

In her FIR, Maliwal said Kumar slapped her at least 7-8 times with full force.

"In order to protect myself, I pushed him away with my legs... He pounced on me, brutally dragged me and deliberately pulled my shirt up."

    FIR

    Kumar booked for assault

"I repeatedly told him that I am having my period and he should please let go of me as I am in unbearable pain. However, he attacked me with full force again and again," Maliwal said in the FIR.

Kumar has been booked under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code, including Sections 354 (assault or use of criminal force on woman with intent to disrobe) and 506 (criminal intimidation), on Thursday.

    Accusations

Maliwal taken to AIIMS for medical check-up

She also alleged that when the security personnel arrived, instead of assisting her, they allegedly followed Kumar's instructions and threw her out.

"Bibhav came back with the security personnel working at the main gate. I kept telling them that I was brutally beaten up and they should look at my condition...but they asked me to leave the premises," she alleged.

After the complaint was registered, Maliwal was taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for medical check-up.
