    What's the story

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has concluded both secondary and higher secondary examinations for 2019.

Since then, Internet searches about Class X and XII results have gone up.

Amid rumors of fake dates, CBSE has officially said that the results will be announced by the third week of May.

Notably, a total of 31,14,831 candidates registered for the board examinations in 2019.

    Statement

Class XII results to be announced first, announces Board secretary

Anurag Tripathi, the Board secretary, said, "The Class 10, 12 results are likely to be declared between May 13 to 17, 2019. The Class XII results will be announced first, following which the CBSE will declare the Class X results after two to three days."

The evaluation process began in March and for further updates from CBSE, students can check their official website, cbse.nic.in

    Evaluation

35,000 teachers did not participate in evaluation process: Reports

As per strict guidelines, CBSE had mandated teachers to be present during evaluation.

However, around 35,000 teachers didn't participate in the process and notice has been sent to concerned schools.

"We have written to the Directorate of Education (DoE) recommending the disciplinary action against the school authorities. The board has also recommended a fine of Rs. 50,000 to all these schools," Tripathi added.

    Information

1.7 crore copies to be evaluated by May first week

Last year, the Delhi High Court directed CBSE to announce the results and complete re-evaluation process before Delhi University's admissions begin. According to reports, there are 1.7 crore copies to be evaluated by first week of May.

    Circular

Earlier, fake circular said results would be announced in June

Last week, a fake circular, signed by a former CBSE official, went viral on social media that claimed that the CBSE results would be announced in June.

In a statement, a CBSE official clarified, "The circular is fake and the official, whose signatures are there on the circular, no longer holds the post. The results will be declared in the third week of May."
