    What's the story

A dog breeder from Bengaluru has hit headlines after he bought an exclusive "wolfdog," named Cadabomb Okami, for a whopping ₹50cr.

According to Money Control, the peculiar breed, which is a blend of a wolf and a Caucasian Shepherd, is considered to be the first of its kind and one of the world's costliest dogs.

The eight-month-old pup was specifically bred in the US and sold through an Indian broker in February.

    Canine collection

Sathish's collection of rare and exotic canines

Sathish (51), a famous dog lover and breeder, has over 150 breeds in his possession, despite having retired from breeding 10 years ago.

He now makes a fortune by exhibiting his prized pets at upscale events.

Calling Okami "an extremely rare breed of dog" that "looks exactly like a wolf," Sathish claimed a dog of this kind has never been sold anywhere in the world before.

    Growth and diet

    Okami's impressive stature and diet

At just eight months, Okami weighs an impressive 75kg and has a height of 30 inches.

Sathish keeps a carefully curated diet for his dogs and steers clear of commercially packed dog food, as he is concerned about steroids which could reduce their lifespan.

Okami consumes a remarkable three kilograms of raw chicken every day.

    Event appearances

    Okami's appearances and Sathish's income

The unique wolfdog has been making rounds at events across Karnataka, including film premieres.

Sathish cashes in on the fame, charging anything ranging from ₹2.45L for a 30-minute appearance and over ₹10L for a five-hour engagement.

"My dog and I receive more attention than an actor at a movie screening. We are both crowd-pullers," he remarked.

    Canine Security

Sathish's estate and security for his dogs

All of Sathish's dogs live at Cadabom's Kennels, an expansive seven-acre estate built to house them all.

Each dog enjoys a private 20ft by 20ft enclosure, and the entire property is safeguarded with a 10 ft-high perimeter wall and round-the-clock CCTV surveillance to keep them safe.

A team of six caretakers looks after their needs, giving them plenty of space to exercise and be active.

    Rare acquisitions

Sathish's reputation for rare and expensive dogs

Sathish has made a name for himself by owning some of the world's rarest and most expensive dogs.

His collection includes a rare Chow Chow bearing a striking resemblance to a Qinling panda, a red-and-white bear species native to China. Reportedly, he bought the dog for over ₹28cr, last year.

"I spent money on these dogs because they are rare. Besides, I get enough money because people are always curious to see them," Sathish told The Sun.
