    Deciding on a career path after Class-12 is crucial and Commerce stream students have many options available today.

    The University of Delhi is one of the most preferred institutions, especially among commerce students, as it offers some of the best commerce courses. However, getting into DU is difficult because of high cut-offs.

    Here are some options for commerce students who didn't get through DU.

    Opt for commerce and economics courses at other colleges/universities

    Among Class-12 Commerce students, BCom (General and Honors) and BA Economics (General and Honors) at Delhi University are popular courses.

    However, like mentioned before, making it to DU is not easy. Even if students don't get into DU, they can opt for these undergraduate commerce and economics courses at other private colleges or universities that admit students through entrance tests or based on merit.

    Students can also go for management courses after Class 12

    After Class 12, commerce stream students who are interested in building a career in business management and related fields can opt for three-year undergraduate courses.

    These include Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Business Management (BBM), and Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) or five-year integrated courses.

    After completing these undergraduate courses, they can pursue post graduation with various specializations.

    One can go for professional courses in finance and accounting

    Alternatively, commerce students can also go for other professional accounting and finance-related courses.

    After completing Class 12 (or equivalent), they can opt for popular courses like Chartered Accountancy (CA), Cost & Management Accountancy (CMA), and Company Secretaryship (CS).

    These three programs are among the most popular career options among commerce stream students in the country.

    #4: A career in law is also a great option

    Alternatively, commerce students can also pursue a career in law. They can go for the three-year LLB (Bachelor of Laws) program after completing graduation in any stream or directly opt for five-year integrated law degrees like BA+LLB, BSc+LLB, BBA+LLB, or BCom+LLB after Class-12.

    Here are some more interesting options students can choose

    Apart from the above courses, there are many other interesting courses students can opt for after Class-12.

    Among such courses is journalism which is in demand nowadays. it deals with print/electronic/online news, advertising, and entertainment media.

    Other options include hotel management and hospitality, travel and tourism, teaching, fashion or jewelry design, fine arts, event management, etc.
