    What's the story

Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj, who is in Pakistan to attend the Pakistan International Film Festival (PIFF), has said that India and Pakistan would make a great force in the world.

The 'Haider' director further said that cultural exchange is the only way to bring normalcy between the two countries.

Here's more on what he said.

    Details

"I love Pakistan, it's sad that we are at loggerheads"

While interacting with a publication, Bhardwaj said, "I love Pakistan. Whenever I come here, I find a reason to come back again. I didn't find any changes. The only change I found is that the love for us has increased."

"I think more and more cultural events can bridge the gap between the two countries," he added.

    Quote

Bhardwaj also spoke on Fawad Khan's popularity in India

Bhardwaj quipped, "If bias against Pakistani actors had been there, the masses wouldn't have gone to watch their films. There is nothing against them in the heart of masses. Whatever else is there, it is politically motivated otherwise how would have Fawad become a superstar in India?"

    On the work front

Meanwhile, Bhardwaj has postponed his next directorial venture

Bhardwaj was all set to begin the filming of his next directorial venture starring Irrfan Khan and Deepika Padukone in April.

However, pertaining to Irrfan's illness, the director has postponed the project indefinitely.

Reports have it that Bhardwaj is now looking forward to kick-starting a brand new film titled 'Churiyan'.
