    What's the story

Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike is reigning supreme at the box office. The movie, which released on January 11, has minted Rs. 160.78 cr and refuses to slow down.

The josh among the audience for Uri is escalating with every passing day.

Given the positive response and the feeling of patriotism it exudes, the Uttar Pradesh government decided to make it tax-free.

'Uri' will instil a feeling of nationalism in youth: Adityanath

Helmed by Aditya Dhar, Uri revolves around India's surgical strike operation on PoK after army base in Uri was attacked.

Given it is an election year, it isn't surprising CM Yogi Adityanath waived off Uri from state GST.

"This film will instil a feeling of nationalism in the youth and the citizens of the country," Adityanath said at the cabinet meeting on Tuesday.

'Uri' is a force to reckon with at box office

Meanwhile, Uri continues its winning momentum at box office as the josh is intact in audience.

The movie emerged as Vicky's highest opener as a solo lead and also became his second highest grosser after Sanju.
