At it again! Urvashi Rautela copy-pastes writer's tweet on 'Parasite'
Beauty with brains Urvashi Rautela has done it again!
The actor (26) is all praise for South Korean filmmaker Bong Joon-ho's Oscar-winning movie Parasite, as she posted a critical appreciation of the terrific film on Twitter.
But we are not too sure if she even watched the film, because, as it turns out all she did was copy-paste another tweet.
She's now being trolled.
On Tuesday, Urvashi tweeted in praise of the acclaimed film
On Tuesday, Urvashi, who represented India at Miss Universe pageant 2015, tweeted praising the acclaimed film. She wrote, "one thing I really love about @ParasiteMovie is that rather than depict the fam as scammers pretending to be good at their jobs, they actually do their jobs flawlessly! what they lack isn't skill, but institutional stamps of approval...(sic)." The tweet has now been deleted.
I'm rooting for her: The original writer said in response
But after Urvashi's post surfaced, Twitter users were quick to point out that the tweet is a blatant copy of a status originally posted by New York-based writer/columnist, John Paul Brammer, who expressed his views on the movie almost a month ago. Reacting to Urvashi's tweet, Brammer joked, saying that he's now "rooting for her" and mocked Urvashi for not even correcting the grammar.
Brammer wondered if his bad-grammar was 'part of the vibe'
'She used fam instead of family': Twitter busy bashing Urvashi
Not only Brammer, but fellow users of Twitter are also busy bashing Urvashi, who seems to have developed a thing for copy-paste lately. Calling her a "thief", users took it upon themselves to teach the actor a lesson in plagiarism. "It's no brain time," wrote one. Another suggested her to either "hire a new PR team" or "go back to school to learn about plagiarism."
Copy-pasting tweets is now a regular thing for Urvashi
This is not the first time Urvashi has been caught copy-pasting a tweet. Earlier this year, the actor received much backlash after she copied Prime Minister Narendra Modi's tweet wishing actor Shabana Azmi a speedy recovery after the latter met with an accident. "The news of Shabana Azmi ji's injury in an accident is distressing. I pray for her quick recovery, (sic)" she tweeted.
Previously, Urvashi copied a statement from model Gigi Hadid
And, the story does not end there. Previously, in 2018, Urvashi was heavily slammed after she duplicated (albeit, with some edits) an Instagram statement from American model Gigi Hadid. In the long note, Gigi had bashed the western media for perpetually sneaking into her relationship with singer Zayn Malik. But as it appears, Urvashi has not learned any lessons, whatsoever!
