    Telugu filmmaker Kodi Ramakrishna dies of lung infection

    What's the story

    Veteran filmmaker Kodi Ramakrishna breathed his last on Friday afternoon in Hyderabad.

    According to the media reports, Ramakrishna, who was one of the most successful directors in Tollywood, passed away due to a lung infection.

    The reports further suggested that the Arundhati director was rushed to the AIG hospital in Gachibowli on Wednesday morning after he complained of acute breathlessness.

    Hospitalized

    Ramakrishna was on ventilator

    Reportedly, Ramakrishna's condition was critical ever since he was hospitalized.

    The media reports also suggested that he was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit and was later put on the ventilator (life supporting system) under constant observation of the doctors.

    While doctors made every possible effort to save Ramakrishna's life, his health condition kept deteriorating until he passed away due to lung infection.

    Ramkrishna suffered paralytic attack, but recovered soon

    A few years ago, Ramakrishna had also suffered a heart stroke and paralytic attack. However, with appropriate medical treatment, the Avatharam director managed to recover soon.

    Career

    Ramakrishna was conferred with Raghupathi Venkaiah Award

    Notably, in his illustrious directorial career spanning for over three decades, Ramakrishna helmed over a hundred movies.

    His popular movies include Ammoru, Ankusam, Shatruvu, Arundhati, Nagarahavu, Aahuti etc.

    He was conferred with Raghupathi Venkaiah Award for his contribution in Telugu films in 2012.

    Kodi Ramakrishna's last directorial movie was Nagarahavu starring Dr.Vishnuvardhan in 2016 which was his directorial debut in Kannada cinema.
