The accident took place near Amiyakaram village in Chinnasalem when a young man on a two-wheeler suddenly veered onto the road.
Jiiva, who was driving the car, reacted quickly and steered the vehicle away to avoid hitting the two-wheeler.
However, this caused the car to hit the road divider and overturn.
The vehicle was heavily damaged, but Jiiva and Supriya managed to escape with minor injuries.

A video from the accident scene has been circulating on social media, showing a visibly shaken Jiiva surrounded by a crowd of onlookers.
According to News 18, the couple was immediately provided with another vehicle to continue their journey to Salem in Tamil Nadu.
The damaged car was taken to the Chinnasalem police station. The local police are currently looking into the matter.
