Producer Preeti Simoes recently announced a new web series in collaboration with Karan Johar's Dharmatics Entertainment.
Now, fresh reports suggest that the show will reportedly feature Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead role.
If it comes to pass, it will be the second collaboration between Simoes and Bhatia, following the success of Aakhri Sach.
Full details about the project and cast are yet to be revealed.

Bhatia was first choice for new series: Source
A source revealed that Bhatia was the first choice for the upcoming series, based on a real case.
"Tamannah was the first choice of the makers for the show. Aakhri Sach was a success for the makers so they thought of recreating that," the source told ETimes.
"The casting of other cast members is still underway. They are talking to a popular actor to play the male lead. Once everything is locked, they would decide when to go on floors."

Simoes had earlier shared a post on her Instagram announcing the new project.
On July 31, she wrote, "Cheers to New Beginnings. On My Birthday, Sharing a Special News. We Produce our Next Story in Collaboration With the Best Partner Producer's 'Dharmatics Entertainment.' The first of many more to come. A Thrilling New Chapter: A Case that gave the Country Goosebumps."

Bhatia's growing digital portfolio
Per reports, Bhatia is currently working on another digital series by Johar, where she plays a lawyer alongside Diana Penty.
In Aakhri Sach, she portrayed a police officer who solved the infamous Burari case.
Her other digital projects include Lust Stories, Jee Karda, and Babli Bouncer.
Speaking about her digital work, the actor said in an interview, "I'm very excited—all my upcoming projects are very different from one another. I am making a conscious effort to not repeat myself."
