    Suriya may join 'Dhoom 4' as antagonist: Report

    What's the story

    The much-anticipated fourth installment of the Indian cinema franchise, Dhoom 4, is reportedly currently under development at Yash Raj Films.

    Aditya Chopra, Ayan Mukerji, Vijay Krishna Acharya, and Sridhar Raghavan are actively involved in the project.

    On Sunday, Deccan Herald reported that Kollywood star Suriya is rumored to be cast as the antagonist in this highly awaited chapter of the Dhoom saga.

    However, there's no confirmation from the production house so far.

    Production update

    Negotiations underway for Suriya's role in 'Dhoom 4'

    While details about the project are being closely guarded, a source close to Suriya revealed that the actor has been approached for a role.

    They said, "Makers did approach the star for a role and the negotiations are ongoing but remain in the early stages."

    "It's too soon to confirm anything as Suriya sir is currently tied up with other commitments and fans will hear an official announcement when any progress happens."

    The Dhoom franchise, known for its thrilling heists, recently marked its 20th anniversary.

    The makers celebrated this milestone with a special post that read, "2004 - The year it all began...Thrilling heists, edge-of-the-seat action, and an unforgettable album. Celebrating 20 years of this iconic blockbuster. #20YearsOfDhoom."

    The franchise has seen stellar villainous roles played by John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan, and Aamir Khan across its installments.
