    What's the story

Netflix's gripping four-part drama, Adolescence, has taken the world by storm.

Starring Stephen Graham and Owen Cooper, the series narrates a 13-year-old boy's story accused of murdering a classmate.

Shot in a single take, each episode immerses viewers in real-time events.

This uniqueness has garnered acclaim worldwide, and fans now await a second season.

The creators have finally revealed if it will happen.

    Future plans

Creators hinted at a potential second season

Speaking to Variety, the creators of Adolescence (Graham and Hannah Walters) spoke about a second season.

Graham said, "Possibly, let's see how the figures are. But yeah, there's the possibility of developing another story."

Walters clarified that a prequel isn't in the works.

She added, "But there's so much mileage in the one-shot and so much mileage in investing into human nature again and looking at something else. But yeah, everything's looking good ... everyone's happy, shall we say?"

    Record-breaking viewership

    'Adolescence' achieved global success

Adolescence has taken the world by storm, topping streaming charts in 80 countries, including India and Australia.

The series opened with a fantastic 24.3 million views in its first four days and jumped to 66.3 million after two weeks.

It even became the first streaming show to top weekly ratings in the UK.

The creators were shocked at such an explosive response.

Walters said, "I didn't think the subject matter would resonate with the world, but it really has."
