Gunjan Saxena biopic: Sridevi's onscreen daughter is now Janhvi's co-star
What's the story
Last year, Janhvi Kapoor won over everyone with her debut film Dhadak opposite Ishaan Khatter.
And now she is all set for her next project, a biopic on Gunjan Saxena.
While Janhvi has begun shooting for the movie in Lucknow, another actor named Riva Arora came on board.
Interestingly, Riva played Sridevi's daughter in MOM, which was the latter's last movie.
Role
Riva to play a young Janhvi in 'Kargil Girl'
Notably, the movie Kargil Girl is about Indian Air Force pilot Gunjan Saxena, who played a pivotal role in evacuating injured soldiers during Kargil War.
While Janhvi portrays the role of Gunjan in the movie, Riva will be seen essaying the younger Gunjan in the movie.
In her post, Riva was all praises for Janhvi and was excited to work with her.

'MOM'
Earlier, Riva was praised for her performance in 'MOM'
Interestingly, Riva was last seen in MOM, which released in 2017.
She essayed the role of Sridevi's daughter Piyu in the movie, and her chemistry with the late actor was lauded by the audience.
MOM turned out to be Sridevi's last movie as she passed away in February 2018, of accidental drowning in a bathtub of a Dubai hotel.

Meanwhile, Angad Bedi also joined Gunjan Saxena's biopic. "Angad plays an army officer, like Gunjan's real-life brother, while Pankaj Tripathi plays their father," a source reportedly told Mumbai Mirror. This is also the first time Angad would be seen donning the uniform.
